We are seeking Machine Operator(s) responsible for the operation of Fibre and CO2 laser machines.

  • Title: Fibre Laser Operator
  • Shift: Weekend – NIGHTS (6pm to 6am Fri, Sat, Sun)
  • Perks: Weekend shift premium ($1 per hour)
  • Top up of hours (work 36 hours – paid for 40 hours)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures on CNC cutting equipment.
  • Stage raw materials at each work-centre for the day’s production.
  • Load and unload machines.
  • Maintain daily dust collector service and associated logbook in assigned area and report equipment deficiencies.
  • Ensure production schedule follow through as allocated by the supervisors.
  • Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work area in accordance with company standards and manufacturers’ machine recommendations.
  • Facilitate work-order paper flow in accordance with quality standards.
  • Work harmoniously with all shop personnel.
  • Assist in every aspect of the shop to ensure team harmony, efficiency, safety, productivity and organization.

Must haves:

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in setting up and adjusting programs as needed.
  • Available to work a variety of shifts for training (will start on days and after training will move to weekend evenings).
  • Ability to inspect flat laser parts with precision inspection equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to read drawings.
  • Be a Canadian citizen legally able to work in Canada.

Previous experience operating CO2 and/or fibre lasers is an asset but will consider training the right individual(s). The successful applicant(s) will be chosen based on suitability, qualifications, and management discretion.

We are searching for an Account Manager to serve our clients. This is a hands-on role that will manage the client’s needs and liaise with our internal resources to ensure quality control, cost management and customer retention. CADD experience is essential.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Customer Relations, Problem solving, Time Management and Project management
  • Initiates sales process by scheduling appointments; making initial presentation; understanding account requirements.
  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.

  • Programs parts and drafting (must have CADD programming experience and/or education)

Required competencies:

  • CADD experience
  • Steel processing experience is a definite asset (not a must)

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written

Hi-Tec has an immediate opening for Brake Machine Operators and Helpers, located in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Operate press brake machine.
  • Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
  • Use a CNC controller to input information into machine.
  • Adjust ram and back gauge locations per process control instructions and blueprints.
  • Perform complex programming using all features of the press brake.
  • Produce parts for assembly operations.
  • Meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.
  • Program the CNC to produce new parts meeting specifications.
  • Perform spot inspections of parts.
  • Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures.
  • Complete and maintain paperwork.
  • Operation of forklift and cranes.
  • Read drawings and blueprints.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Experience running brake press, turret punch, and CNC laser preferred
  • Ability to use measuring tools and read blueprints
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong team player with proven ability to work effectively with others at all levels.

1 – 2 years experience operating a brake press is preferred; however, consideration will be given to train suitable applicants with winning attitudes and previous experience that is transferable.
